The question I ask every client before I write a single word

Full disclosure — it's not one question. It hardly ever is.
But they all come back to one key thing — who are you.
When people are looking for a service provider — be it a health practitioner, a coach, or even a copywriter — they're not just looking for someone who can fix their dodgy back, help them let go of self-worth issues, or write a great blog post.
They want to know who you are. What matters to you? How are they going to feel when they work with you? That doesn't mean the service bits aren't important — of course they are. They're what your business is about. But the core, the bit that matters most, is you.
So those are the questions I ask. The answers help me shape the tone of your website — both visually and in words. They help make sure you don't show up online as just any old photographer, osteo, or consultant.
I build from there. Adding the layers of your background, experience, services, and products — the practical stuff — on top, so that your people get the full picture of what you're about and why they should choose you.
And don't worry — I'm not going to ask anything that will have you running for the hills, wondering whether you've reached out to a wordy designer type or a therapist. I just want to know who you are.
So next time you're staring at your website wondering why it doesn't feel quite right — ask yourself if it actually sounds like you. Not your industry. Not your competitors. You.
